|Helping you tour the wonderful filming locations of the popular 1980's show; Robin of Sherwood|
|About Trail of Robin of Sherwood|
Want to visit the locations immortalised in Robin of Sherwood for yourself but found it difficult to plan your trip? Unsure of where to look for the scenes, how they were filmed, or what to look for when you arrived?
The Trail of Robin of Sherwood website was created by fans, for fans, to help you relive your memories of the great show and bring them closer to you. Nothing can beat standing where the show was filmed, looking at the medieval scenery that was used, and immersing yourself in the Robin of Sherwood folklore.
We knew the difficulties fans faced when wanting to visit the UK locations and it inspired us to create both this website and our hardcopy Guide Book and Planner, to help dedicated fans of the show to relive their memories, plan their own Robin of Sherwood Location Hunt experience, and see the magnificent locations used.
What do the fans say about the Guide Book and Location Planner?
"A fantastic product for the RoS fan. Duncan has impressed and informed over the past few years in his pursuit to bring the show's locations alive. Detailing every square inch of known and many unknown filming locations, his hard work is realised in these two volumes which are a must for every fan's car glove box. Getting out from behind your computer is beneficial in itself, but really stands as an appreciation of all the hard work, not only from the actors, but the production crew who went out and used many of the best, natural locations that England has to offer. Painstakingly photographed and cross-referenced, this is an indispensable guide for this timeless production, and a blessing seeing as very little was ever produced for it originally. Go out and buy it now!"
"Mine arrived today. Very good work! Can't believe how close I've been to so many of the locations without even knowing it."
"A simply 'must have' for any Robin of Sherwood fan."
"They've arrived .... just had a flick through and both the guide book and map look amazing ! Such a lot of hard work has gone into this .... brilliant... a must buy.......can't wait to go exploring thanks!"
"I started to do the Trail in the summer school holidays for somewhere for my daughter and I to go [..]. At the time I knew the Trail was going to be published but only had the information from the website. [..] The published trail map and guide is totally amazing and very easy to follow. I will be able to use this to continue my RoS locations journey. If you don't have a copy i suggest you go and get yourself one or two or maybe more, you never know when you might drop one off Round Wood cliffside or into the waterfall at Bowood. I'm really glad I've got mine and, when I get a decent amount of time to plan phase 2, the map and guide will be right by my side! Happy hunting and may Herne protect you all!"

I have been a more recent convert to the Robin of Sherwood fandom but have instantly fallen in love with the show since my husband Duncan has introduced me to it. Since then we've been to the Robin of Sherwood Convention, visited many of the locations and seen the episodes frequently.
The beliefs and mystical magic that Kip Carpenter bought to his interpretation has really made me see how good it was compared to the recent version. I have, and continue to enjoy, taking our insane tour around the country, seeing all the historical places and filming our 'pieces to camera'.
